Joyce Tien, a resident of Cupertino, California, is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania (C’18). She is considering in a major in Biological Basis of Behavior and a minor in History and Legal Studies. Having long held a passion for public service, Joyce organized the community installation Immigration Nation: The Story of US during the summer of 2014 in order to increase immigrant contribution visibility and awareness of immigration issues. She has also interned for California State Senator Jim Beall. With particular interest in the public health sector, Joyce has interned at Stanford Medical School’s Asian Liver Center, where she spearheaded the B Informed, B Educated, B a Hero quarterly, assigning articles and managing publication. In addition to her involvement with the Undergraduate Law Journal, Joyce is also a member of the Penn Forensics Team.
